Brandon has had a test in recruiting school almost everyday for the past 2 weeks now.
On Friday, he was tested on his ability to speak with an individual regarding the Marine Corps on the phone.
He has a script to follow, but must make sure that he hits certain key points or else he will be docked points on his test.
We practice together. It's like running lines for a play or movie. I get to be the applicant and
Brandon, the recruiter, naturally.
I told him he had to use the "phone" so it felt more real.
Although stressful for Brandon, I love test taking days because he gets to come home in the middle of the day. Once he takes his test in the morning, he comes home until he has to return back to school in the afternoon. And since I am not working right now, I enjoy the company! The other morning, he took his test and came back before I got out of bed. Oops!
Brandon didn't do as well as he wanted to on the telephone test. He said he had a Redbull right before and was super jittery. But on Monday he had another test, and got a 100!
Lesson Learned: No more Redbulls before a test!
