Back to Reality

Well, well, well...Brandon actually had four days off! Well kind of.
He had to go into to the office today for a few hours to "plan." Planning means that they input into a calendar everything they project they are going to do for the upcoming month.
The program is super slow too, so it takes forever to actually do this. But nonetheless, we were really grateful for the days off. Brandon really needed it.
He put two guys up on Friday, which took some pressure off of him, but he is still a little stressed. I think the few days away from work was really nice for him to have, even though his phone was beeping every five seconds with text messages about work. He is a popular and busy man.

Our days off were great though. It was snowy and cold the whole time. We ran a few errands, went out to dinner and breakfast and did some projects around the house.
But what we really did was enjoy the snow. Enjoyed looking at it that is.
Shoveling the snow and scraping it off my car is not my favorite thing to do.
But I do like to look at the snow!

Here are some pictures we took over the last few days.
Our backyard really is my favorite part of our house. I will be really sad to leave it.

The snow is still on the ground, even though it hasn't snowed in two days! Ugh! It's a little annoying to go anywhere. I think I am going to have a love/hate relationship with snow.

Anyways, tomorrow is back to reality for the Croniser household. That's right, back to reality for the both of us...I am starting my internship tomorrow! I completed my orientation in December, but chose to wait to start my internship until January because of my trip to San Francisco. So tomorrow is my first day. I was surprised that the schools go back immediately after New Years Day, but I found out schools out here get a week off in February, so I assume that is why winter break is a little short.
I am really excited to get started. It was nice being home for the last few months, but I am a much more productive person when I am busy, so this will be a good kick in the butt for me. I will be working with students with Autism and Emotional Disturbance, which fascinates me and I cannot wait to work with the kids. I know I will learn a lot at this school!

Brandon goes back to work tomorrow too. He is trying to put one more kid up (to take the ASVAB, pass medical and swear in) this week before they close out the month. I think if he can put one more kid up, he will be able to relax a little. Fingers crossed.

Hope everyone had a Happy New Year!
I think 2013 is going to be fabulous.
